Driving Sustainable Partnerships with FirstGem

FirstBank, through the FirstGem initiative, is steadfast in its commitment to empowering women throughout Nigeria. Through our partnership with Eloy Foundation, we have fostered extensive engagements with Women in Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (WMSMEs) over 2 years. Our efforts have impacted over 1000 WMSMEs in Lagos, Port Harcourt, Abuja, Kano, Anambra, Kaduna, Delta, Osun, and Abia. Our partnership with Eloy Foundation is threefold.

  1. The Business Shower: This event is committed to supporting business owners in establishing sustainable enterprises. It provides entrepreneurial training led by seasoned businessmen and women, equipping participants with essential tools and knowledge to foster business growth.
  2. Sustainable Empowerment Program (SEP): This is a comprehensive three-month initiative, offering women entrepreneurs access to mentors, in-depth training, networking prospects, affordable finance options, business clinics, legal counsel, and more.
  3. Graduation Ceremony: A celebratory event marking the achievements and successes of our women trainees/entrepreneurs in the course of the year.

All women owned and led MSMEs with at least 51% female ownership in the approved sectors.

Yes, eligible businesses must be registered with CAC.

Minimum of N500,000, maximum of N3M.

It is a single digit loan at 9%

12months for Working Capital and 24months for the Term Loan.
Yes, on provision of their 12-month business account statement from another bank and opening of a Gem Business account.
No. The eligible sectors are;
