About FirstBank 2026 Agric & Export Expo

FirstBank’s Role in Agriculture and Non-Oil Export Growth

FirstBank has historically played a pivotal role in financing key sectors of the Nigerian economy. As Nigeria intensifies its focus on developing the non-oil sector, agriculture has re-emerged as a priority area for economic growth, job creation, and foreign exchange generation.

In recognition of the Federal Government’s renewed emphasis on agriculture and non-oil exports, FirstBank remains committed to being a major contributor to the sector’s growth and transformation.

The Bank serves a broad base of commercial agribusiness clients across Nigeria, with customers operating across the full agricultural value chain, including Production, Storage, Processing, Packaging of Agricultural Commodities and other non-oil exports

Purpose of the Agric & Export Expo

The Agric & Export Expo convenes stakeholders across the agricultural ecosystem to explore practical opportunities for collaboration, deepen value-chain participation, and strengthen financing models for a sector with significant growth potential.

Launched in 2017, the Expo was designed to stimulate national discourse and action on the economic benefits of building a sustainable agricultural value chain as an alternative source of economic development and foreign exchange through exports.

The 2026 Edition

Building on the success of the 2025 edition, FirstBank is set to host the 5th edition of the Agric & Export Expo as a two-day hybrid event in 2026. The Expo will reinforce the Bank’s leadership in Nigeria’s agriculture and non-oil export sectors, while shifting the engagement focus from awareness to execution, conversion, and measurable business outcomes.

The theme for the 2026 edition is: “From Farm to Global Markets: Building Nigeria’s Export Value Chain.”

Focus Sessions

The Expo will feature two focused discussion sessions:

Plenary Session: A high-level discussion led by policymakers and private sector leaders, providing a broad overview of strategies for advancing growth in agribusiness and non-oil exports.

Technical Session: An expert-led panel focused on practical strategies for repositioning agribusiness and non-oil exports as key drivers of economic growth.

The Expo will also host a world-class two-day exhibition, showcasing agro and export commodities across their value chains, creating opportunities for networking, trade, and business connections that will enrich the overall event experience.
