USSD Bills Payment Promo – Terms and Conditions

USSD BILLS PAYMENT PROMO TERMS & CONDITIONS.

  1. Introduction

This loyalty promotion is designed to reward GOTV and DSTV customers for paying their monthly subscriptions via the USSD Banking channel (i.e.*894*3*SmartCardNo# or *894#).

  • Legal Agreement

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to the promo on Bills Payment on the USSD Channel by FirstBank of Nigeria Limited (“FirstBank” or “the Bank”) which is accessed through any phone by using *894#.

In these Terms, “the Bank” “we”, “us” or “our” refers to FirstBank and its successors, agents and assigns, while “you” or “your” refers to any one participating in this Promo. These terms and conditions form a legal agreement between you and FirstBank, and can only be amended by the Bank. By participating in the USSD Bills payment Promo, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions contained herein, and subsequent amendments thereto as well as all applicable laws and regulations now existing or which may hereafter be enacted, issued or enforced.

Please check these T&Cs and any applicable Specific Promotional Terms before participating in the Promotion.

  1. Promotion Dynamics
  2. This promotion runs for a period of 3-months and may be discontinued or stopped at any time by FirstBank.
  3. 990 DSTV customers will be rewarded with an airtime value of N600 each for paying for their Compact Package on USSD. This implies that 11 customers will be rewarded per day, 330 customers per month and 990 customers for the 3-months.
  4. Similarly, 1,620 GOTV customers will be rewarded with an airtime value of N310 each for paying for their Jolli Package on USSD. This implies that 18 customers will be rewarded per day, 540 customers per month and 1,620 for the 3-months.
  5. To ensure the promo rewards are evenly spread, a customer can only win once per day, except if the customer subscribe for both GOTV and DTSV.
  6. Winners shall be collated at the end of each day and credited with the airtime value of the package subscribed to (see clause 2, section c) on the following day.

The first 18 USSD Banking customers who subscribe for Jolli package (GOTV) between 6pm -9pm during the Promo period are selected as winners for that day while the first 11 USSD Banking customers who subscribe for Compact package (DSTV) between 6pm – 9pm are also selected as winners for that day.
  2. Eligibility to participate in the USSD Bills Payment Promo
  3. To be eligible for the promotion, you must be a FirstBank account holder and enrolled on *894#
  4. The promotion is open strictly to only Jolli package – N2,460 (GOTV) and Compact package – N6,975 (DSTV)
  5. The reward is open to both customers between 6pm – 9pm daily.
  6. Selection is done daily; however, winners are credited with the corresponding airtime value of the package and biller they subscribed to the following day.
  7. If a customer has both GOTV and DSTV and subscribes for Jolli (GOTV) and Compact (DSTV), within the winning period (6pm – 9pm), s/he may be rewarded with total airtime value of the sum of N910 if amongst the first 18 subscribers daily.
  8. Winners will be contacted or informed of their winning via SMS Push Notification and/or Email
  9. Their masked mobile phone number will be published on the various FirstBank’s Social Media Channels
  10. Offer valid while promotion lasts.

 

  1. Participation in the USSD Bills Payment Promo
  2. Participation in this Promo is voluntary, as such no customer is under any compulsion to subscribe during this period.
  3. To participate, kindly follow the instructions set out in the relevant Promo Communications that is circulated via FirstBank Social Media Channels or website (firstbanknigeria.com) or in the course of your discussion with our FirstContact Representative.

 

  1. General
  2. You shall not assign or transfer any or all your rights or obligations under the Promo.
  3. No third party shall have a right to enforce the T&Cs against FirstBank.
  4. FirstBank shall not be responsible for reward that is lost, or delayed as a result of any network, computer, or cell phone hardware or software failure of any kind.
  5. Failure by Us to enforce a right under the T&Cs does not result in waiver of such right(s).
  6. If any part of the T&Cs is found to be unenforceable as a matter of law, all other parts of the T&Cs shall be unaffected and shall remain in force.
  7. By participating in this promo, you acknowledge that our determination and decision on all matters concerning the promo or the airtime recharge will be final, and no correspondence will be entered.
  8. Any dispute or situation not covered by the T&Cs will be resolved by our management in a manner it deems, in its sole discretion, to be the fairest to all concerned and, subject to section f, that decision shall be final and binding on all participants.
  9. These Terms may be amended by the Bank from time to time and such changes shall be binding on future participants upon publication.
  10. FirstBank shall not be liable to any participant for any loss, liabilities, claims, and proceedings arising from or otherwise in connection with this Promo. Therefore, you agree to and hereby indemnifies and holds FirstBank harmless against any loss, claims, and liability whatsoever that you may incur or suffer as a result of or in connection with the Promo. Please note that the usual FirstBank terms and condition for the use of your USSD code will apply.
