We have noticed that online scam artists are attempting
to defraud unsuspecting Internet Banking users by sending fraudulent emails to customers claiming
their Internet Banking Account is about to expire. They are
requesting customers to provide sensitive information on
their account details for Account Update by clicking on
spurious Internet banking website links or an update form
link. The request may come in various forms. Please beware!
It is all a scam.
Customers should on no account act on such unsolicited
instruction by email to visit any website or update any form
in order to restore/change his/her confidential account
details or otherwise divulge his/her user name and password
to anyone.
FIRST BANK OF NIGERIA PLC has not requested and will
never request by mail any FIRSTBANK account holder’s details,
User ID or Password for an account upgrade or any other
reason. Internet Banking Accounts are not about to expire. Disregard any mails to this effect.
