Protect Your Pin

• Do not write it anywhere your card is placed
• Do not use numbers easily identified with you such as birth dates and car numbers
• Do not reveal your PIN to anyone, not even bank staff
• If you feel an unauthorized person has access to your PIN, change it immediately at the nearest ATM
• Cover the keypad when inputting your PIN at the ATM or POS terminal

Protect Your Card

• Put your card in a wallet/purse. Do not put it in your back pocket – you may sit on it!
• Do not use it roughly or scratch the surface
• Do not place it near any magnetic objects or cell phones.

Protect Yourself

• When withdrawing money from the ATM, be sure the area is well secured and well lit ( at night)
• Concentrate on your business and do it fast. Don’t take calls on your mobile phone and don’t tarry to chat while you are at the ATM
• Look out for suspicious movements and decide whether you should transact or move on
• Be alert
• Be courteous to the person using an ATM before you. Stand well away and give him/her some privacy
