FirstCash Card Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Where Can the FirstCash Card be used?

A. FirstCash debit card can be used at any ATM located in FirstBank branches located nationwide to withdraw cash, as well as PoS Terminals at select merchant locations for the purchase of goods and services.

Q. How do I apply for a card?

A. The customer requests for a FirstCash card and fills out the forms indicating which of his/her personal accounts should be linked to the card. The personalized card is produced along with the secret PIN which is enclosed in a tamper-proof envelope. On collection of both card and PIN, the customer can activate the card at the nearest ATM. Our Customer Service staff are available at branches with ATMs to assist customers

Q. How do I use the FirstCash Card at an ATM?

A. The cardholder inserts his card and inputs his PIN. A menu comes up on the screen showing the different options and the cardholder selects the option required such as cash withdrawal, balance enquiry, mini statement etc. The cardholder selects the option desired. If cash, the amount required is inputted. If the balance in the cardholder’s account is sufficient to accommodate the amount requested, the transaction goes through and the cash is paid. If funds are insufficient, the transaction is rejected. A receipt is printed and cardholder collects his card back or proceeds to do other transactions. There are limits to the number of times and how much you can withdraw from your account on a daily basis

Q. How do I use the FirstCash Card at a PoS Terminal?

A. The card is swiped through the terminal and the PIN inputted. If sufficient funds are available, the transaction is completed and the cardholder’s account debited on-line, real-time. 2 receipts are printed, one for the cardholder and the other for the merchant.

Q. What are the benefits of the FirstCash Card?

A. It is convenient to use. The card is accepted, not only at FirstBank ATMs but also at ‘QuickCash’ ATMs.
The cardholder need not make a trip to the bank to withdraw cash or check his balance

Q. HOW MUCH COLLATERAL DO I REQUIRE?

A. You are required to deposit 125% of your required credit limit as collateral; any increase in limit will require additional collateral for the 125% to be maintained.  You will also be required to deposit 125% of credit limit for your named additional card holder.

Q. HOW DOES THIS OPERATE?

A. At your request, we may issue a card to an additional cardholder named by you.  You will indicate the credit limit to be set on the card and you will be held responsible for the amount spent on this card.

Q. WILL MY SPENDING AFFECT THE LIMIT OF THE ADDITIONAL CARDHOLDER OR VICE VERSA?

A. It depends on what you want.  You can set the limit for the additional cardholder to be dependent on your limit or independent of it
