A retired Police Officer, Audu Aliya from Taraba State was yesterday presented with the sum of N10m at La Scala Restaurant, MUSON Centre, Lagos having emerged the Star Prize winner of the FirstBank Golden Anniversary Promo Draw which held two weeks ago at Martinos Hall, Alausa Business District, Ikeja, Lagos. Mr. Aliya, who operates a Savings Account with Ganye-Adamawa Branch of the Bank, emerged at a draw certified by renowned accounting firm, KPMG.

Apart from Mr. Aliya, two other lucky winners, Bolorunduro Emmanuel Olukayode, a staff of Central Bank of Nigeria with an account at the Nigerian Stock Exchange, Lagos Branch of the Bank and Kayin Peter Asiugbon, a Lecturer at Lagos State Polytechnic, also emerged winners of Kia Picanto cars each. A total of two hundred and Fifteen (215) lucky customers of the Bank smiled home with various household and cash Prizes at the draw.

The Golden promo is coming on the heels of the highly successful Big Splash promo which ended March this year. That promo saw 12 customers from the six geo-political regions of the Bank drive home 12 brand new Toyota Corolla cars; 9 customers each from the market-facing Directorates of the Bank won 3 star prizes ranging from Toyota Prado Jeep (2009 A/T model), a KIA Sportage SUV, a HONDA City car and 6 consolation prizes.

According to the Head, Marketing & Corporate Communications of the Bank, Mrs. Folake Ani-Mumuney, “the Golden Anniversary Promo, which has so far produced 1,215 winners across the Bank’s branch, is aimed at encouraging savings culture, financial independence and empowerment of the Bank’s customers”.

To participate in the Golden Promo, customers are required to deposit a minimum of N10, 000.00 for 30 days every month from June 2010 to qualify for the monthly and quarterly draws; to qualify for the Golden Anniversary Draw, customers are expected to save a minimum of N50, 000.00 for 30 days within each month up to the month of Golden Anniversary Draw. Additional opportunity is given to customers that save N50, 000.00 every month to also participate in the monthly and quarterly draws.
